Following the retirement announcement of Dr. Paul Farris, our superintendent since July of 2017, the board of directors has engaged Northwest Leadership Associates to assist in identifying candidates for a full-time superintendent. Currently there is an interim superintendent in place at the district.
About White Pass School District
The White Pass School District is located in East Lewis County, Washington. It serves the communities of Packwood, Randle, and Glenoma which are located along US Highway 12. The district currently has a student population of around 375 students. The district and schools are named after the mountain pass over the crest of the Cascade Mountains, located at the east end of the district.
The area is known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. Skiing, hiking, hunting and fishing contribute to a strong tourism economy. The small, tight-knit community draws its identity from the school and its students and staff.

The district also offers an Alternative High School, the White Pass Learning Academy, offering alternative education to select students, credit retrieval and graduation support.
Currently the district is in an Athletic Cooperative with Morton School District which will discontinue at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The combined schools Sport Team is called the Morton-White Pass Timberwolves (MWP)
